In this video we will see how to make Verkadalai chutney recipe in tamil. This peanut chutney / groundnut chutney is an excellent side dish for idli or dosas. Peanuts have a wonderful texture and flavour and when we make a chutney out of them they taste very rich and creamy. This kadalai chutney has a very different and unique taste compared to other chutney recipes. Roasting the verkadalai before grinding releases wonderful smell and flavor to the recipe.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup peanuts
1 tsp Oil
3-4 dry red chilies
2 garlic pods
1 small Tamarind
2 tbsp Coconut
required Salt
1/2 cup Water for grinding
More water if required

For Tempering:
1 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1 small Onion (optional)
1/2 tsp urad dal
1 dry red Chili
Curry leaves
pinch of Asafoetida
